Every year at the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, we touch the lives of thousands of animals through our proactive programs. We're able to do this because of people like you-- people who believe in the value of an animal's life and well-being. We are supported entirely through private donations and therefore rely heavily on the generosity of individuals and families within our community. We hope that you decide to become one of these individuals through your support! The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. All contributions are tax-deductible as provided by law. The Humane Society does not sell or trade your name with other organizations. Donate Online! Donating online is easy! 1000 Loyal Friends is a membership program that provides a painless way to offer significant support to animals all year long. Many people would have difficulty giving a large donation all at once. But divide that donation up across twelve months and a significant supportive role will be accomplished. Our goal is to achieve 1000 members who will dedicate themselves to this monthly support. You can become a Loyal Friends member today by signing up online. Choose your contribution level for monthly automatic deductions from your credit card. As you know, our animals stay with us until they are adopted. This means that sometimes our friends are with us for quite awhile. You can become a friend to these pets through your sponsorship of them. You'll receive a photo and information about the pet you've chosen and we'll make a special card for your pet's cage so that everyone knows that YOU care! Here at the Humane Society we believe that every pet's life has value. When we first met Gabriel, he was a tiny puppy who'd been hit by a car and left to fend for himself with three broken legs. He couldn't even stand up but his little tail wouldn't stop wagging. We took him to a veterinary clinic and Humane Society staff and volunteers quickly chipped in to cover the cost of x-rays and surgery. In his honor, we established Gabriel's Fund to help other homeless pets who come to us needing extra care. Gabriel made a complete recovery and has been adopted into a loving home. Purchase an engraved, personalized brick to be placed in our memorial pathway outside of the Humane Society. This special section of the shelter has been reserved for personalized memorial and honorarium bricks for those who wish to pay tribute to their pets, family members, or other loved ones. Trees for Pets allows individuals to donate a
tree with a $100 gift as a personalized memorial to their pets,
family members or loved ones and have it planted on the Humane
