A few times each month we pick out several of our shelter pets, give them a good scrubbing in the tub or extra brushing, and go out on the town to look for good homes.

Anyone wanting to adopt a pet from one of our satellite adoptions is asked to fill out an application. Pets are not allowed to be taken home that same day. Instead, we'll ask you to give us a call on the following business day. We do this so that you have some time to think about it without having to hurry and make a decision that day, and to allow us time to review applications for approval. If we both agree that this is the pet for you, then we'll set up a convenient time for you to pick up your new furry friend from our shelter.

You can read more about our adoption process on our Adoptions page. Call Karen at 913.596.1000 ext. 13 or send an e-mail if you'd like more info on a particular event.

Come on out and meet our wonderful pets who are all looking for good homes!
